About Chelsea Market
A block long and a block wide and just a short walk from the Hudson River in an area of Manhattan known as the Meatpacking District, Chelsea Market has become in just 15 years one of the greatest indoor food halls of the world, with more than 35 vendors purveying everything from soup to nuts, wine to coffee, cheese to cheesecake. Attracting 6 million visitors annually, it’s one of the most trafficked, and written-about, destinations of any kind in New York City. Chelsea Market is a neighborhood market with a global perspective.
About the High Line Park
The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long (2.33 km) elevated linear park, greenway and rail trail. It is America's first elevated park. It was created on a former New York Central Railroad spur on the west side of Manhattan. The abandoned railway has been redesigned as a "living system" that draws from multiple disciplines including landscape architecture, urban design, and ecology. Since opening in 2009, the High Line has become an icon in contemporary landscape architecture and a must see if visiting New York!
